Fireproof clothing, commonly worn by firefighters, protects the skin from burns

Fireproof clothing is made from fire resistant material and provides a barrier between the hazard e.g. heat and the skin. Fireproof jackets are designed to cover as much exposed skin as possible, covering the neck and wrists which would normally be exposed
