What is PPE?

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is any piece of clothing or equipment that protects the wearer from a hazard by providing a barrier

  • Common examples include gloves, helmets and face masks

​​

  • Each piece of PPE is specifically designed to protect against a particular hazard making it important to wear the correct piece of PPE each hazard​
